WORLD POPULATION DAY

World Population Day is an annual event, observed on July 11 every year which seeks to raise awareness of global population issues. The event was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme in 1989.  The world observes World Population Day with the goal of highlighting the difficulties created by overpopulation and raising awareness about how overpopulation may harm the ecosystem and progress of humanity. D. A. V. Centenary Public School, Nabha observed this event with full zeal  under the able and dynamic supervision of the honourable Principal Dr Meena Mehta. Students from class VII to  X made beautiful posters, videos and ppts to demonstrate  their  creativity. They showed their awareness about the growing population through their beautiful activities. They conveyed the message that skilled and educated man is an important asset of a country so we should take a stand and stop the overpopulation of the earth.
