WOMEN’S DAY

"No matter even if it takes a while, you handle every responsibility with a smile.”

 To honour women, The International Women’s Day , was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm  on 8^th March,2021 by DAV Centenary Public School, Nabha under the dynamic guidance of the honourable  Principal, Dr Meena Mehta. The International Women’s Day 2021 is observed on 8th March  for celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This day is also celebrated as an occasion to reflect and amplify on various issues that come in the way of women’s emancipation and hinder realization of gender equality.Various kinds of activities were organised by the school. An essay writing competition on prominent/inspirational women of the district was organised. Faculty members of Science, Social Science and  Language Departments gave special talks on  women achievers.

This function was also embellished by sharing the happy news that the Principal was honoured with ‘Women Era Award-2021 by Rashtriya Jyoti Kala Manch, Patiala for her valuable and unique contribution in the field of education. The Principal dedicated this award to her staff members as a token of love on this special event. In her motivational address, she applauded all  the great achievements made by women in various fields. A woman should earn respect for herself. She congratulated all the staff members and distinguished women on this auspicious occasion. In her speech she focused that there should be a complete balance in the relationship of men and women. She told that this disparity of male and female is highlighted by the women only, not by a man. Therefore each and every woman is guided to remove this disparity. We should create the positive vibes around ourselves to create a heaven of our thoughts and actions because happiness is a mood and positivity is a mind set.
