DAV Nabha Celebrated Virtual Clean And Green Diwali
DAV Centenary Public School, Nabha celebrated virtual clean and green Diwali with festive gusto on 11 November,2020 and 12 November,2020 under the dynamic leadership of our worthy Principal Dr Meena Mehta. On this auspicious occasion For the celebrations, different activities were assigned to the students of different classes.
In the Junior wing, the Diwali celebrations were conducted virtually in the form of webinar in an exotic way . The celebrations started with the chanting of gayatri mantra. Different episodes of Ramayana were displayed by the students from Class- II to V. Students delivered speeches on the significance of the festival and the relevance of eco-friendly diwali.Various other activities such as candle and diya decoration, paper decoration, paper lanterns, best out of waste material, and card-making contests were organised in all the classes. Hindus celebrate the return of Lord Rama at Ayodhya after fourteen years of exile, while Sikhs observe ‘Bandi Chorr Divas’. Students of Class IV B presented their views on celebrating green and pollution free Diwali and slogans related to the same were also showcased. Teachers also guided the students and ensured that they should use the things available in their house and make best use of it.It was completely a new experience for everyone as this was the first time that Diwali was celebrated in such a high tech way.
Plethora of competitions were performed by the students of classes VI to XII also such as Class VI Diya Decoration , class VII* Candle Decoration and paper lantern,Class VIII Theme:Celebrate Eco- Friendly Diwali posters to help covid recovered patients, Class IX Thali Decoration and bandhanwaar,Class X Cleaning and Decoration of their room, study table and the wall behind where they sit for classes. (Use best out of waste product) and last but not the least for Class XI And XII,declamation contest was conducted on the topics Bandi Chor Diwas and Eco Friendly Diwali to help Covid recovered patients and making of Rangoli at the entrance of their houses. Students sent their pics, audios and videos while performing at the activity in their class WhatsApp groups.
The honourable Principal congratulated all the teachers and students on this auspicious festival and blessed everyone to celebrate clean and green and Diwali.
