DAV Nabha conducted Online Parents Teacher Meet

DAV Centenary Public School, Nabha conducted Online Parents Teacher Meet through zoom cloud app meetings  from 9 May  to12 May,2020 under the kind and vigilant supervision of the honorable Principal DrMeena Mehta. It was held in slots according to schedule time of given roll numbers for class Nursery to class X The main agenda of this online meeting was the forthcoming online unit tests and zoom class attendance.The meeting was conducted in   different slots.

On 9 May, in the first slot, PTM of standard VII was conducted from 1 p.m. to 1:40 p.m.. In the second slot, PTM of Standard Nursery was conducted from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In the third slot, PTM of class VI was conducted. On 12 May,PTM of VIII, IX and X was conducted in slots according to the  fixed time of the given roll numbers.There was an overwhelming response of the parents and the students. In this meeting, parents and the students were made aware about the Google form and its link through which online unit test will be conducted for all the classes. Online activities of the students were also discussed in the meeting. Schedule of online classes was also given to the parents alongwith the date sheet of Unit Tests. There was a healthy discussion about online classes through Zoom app and Google meet app.  It was also discussed how to use Google Form site so that  the students  can attempt the unit test in a more convenient way. The unit test in each subject will be of 25 marks. All the students attended the meeting  in school uniform.

Parents expressed their happiness and heartfelt gratitude for conducting the online classes for the students by saying that the study of their children will not hamper in this way The Academic incharge, Ma’am GurjeetBakshiemphasized that students should spend quality time on Internet and use it in an appropriate way to deepen their knowledge and enrich their learning. She advised the parents to motivate their children to complete their homework on regular basis.

The online parents teachers meet on 11th and 12th May 2020 of  Classes 3rd to 5th was also conducted under the able guidance of Principal DrMeenaMehta.The meeting was there to let parents aware about the forthcoming online unit test. The meeting was conducted between 10: 00 a.m.to 12:10 a.m.of standard 4th and on the next day  PTM of Standard 5th was conducted.

Maximum participation of the parents and students was there.The parents were feeling excited as on the same day World Technology Day was there and they are getting interacted with the teachers of their wards by using internet. So it was completely a new experience for many of them. Parents were made aware about the Google form through which online test will be conducted for all the classes.They  were also guided to make the students indulge in studies by making their timetable at home.The meeting was conducted on Google meet app.

The honorable Principal DrMeena Mehta welcomed all the parents and thanked  them for attending online PTM by saying that it is  a nice platform to conduct PTMs.While interacting with them, she suggested that whenever online zoom class is going on, the students should use a chair and  a table  and they should be in proper school uniform so that a classroom environment can be created to develop discipline and punctuality among them.She said that teaching students is an accomplishment,getting  them excited about learning is achievement She guided the parents to motivate their children to attend  online classes regularly which are being conducted by the school, engage them in learning and also take care of their health. During this lockdown period due to pandemic situation,they can explore their potential and groom their personalities.
