One Day Capacity Building Programme Workshops for EEDP

(One Day Workshop on 3 June, 2019)


 A one day Capacity Building Workshop of Patiala Zone teachers was organized at D.A.V Senior Secondary School, Nabha for EEDP teachers. The workshop began with enchanting with Gayatri Mantra and DAV Gaan. After that our Cluster Head Dr. Meena Mehta welcomed the resource persons with tilak  and gave a motivational speech to the participants.

Our Resource Persons were Ms.Monika Kaushal and Ms. Inderbir Marya from DAV School, Patiala, Ms. Monika Kaushal started the first session with meditation at 9.00 a.m. She taught all the teachers how to develop fine motor skills. She organized activities in which she encouraged each and every teacher to participate and that was really fruitful. After that she played video regarding phonics. Teaching methodologies and innovative activities were presented to enhance the teaching strategies, thereby making the subject interesting for learners.

The second session was conducted by Ms. Inderbir Marya started with concept clearance, Ascending and Descending order, units of length and weight. After that Ms. Monika Kaushal took session III on the topic of  Hindi Letters “Formation of letters”. Hindi, English and Punjabi letters were properly shown by drawing the shape of every letter and selective letters of Punjabi and English. Session IV was conducted  by Ms. Inderbir Marya  . She showed impressive  video on Effective Classroom Management. In this video she taught how to improve listening and speaking skills and basic etiquettes in the students.

 Session V was of Group Discussion. All the teachers were given chance to present their views. It was an interactive session. Through interactive discussions, demonstrations and presentations there was clarity of various concepts.

At last, feedback forms were filled  up by all the teachers and  a message was also conveyed to each and every teacher that they should implement these techniques in their classrooms so that students can show desirable results.
