Parents Orientation Programme’ Aagaaz ‘of  Class L.K.G.

The Orientation programme for parents of class LKG students of DAV Public School, Nabha, was held on 6th and 7th Dec.2018 under the guidance of our worthy Principal Miss Meena Mehta to apprise parents about the school and its functioning. The chief guests for the occasion on 6th Dec were S. Jasvir Singh (renowned story writer) from Amargarh and S. Gurtej Singh (Sarpanch of Village Shekhupur )while on 7th Dec were Sh. Lalit Sharma(eminent social worker,astrologer and member of rotary club) along with his wife Mrs. Kusum lata and Sh.Sanjeev Kumar (Sarpanch of Dulladi Village). 
The programme began with the traditional lamp lighting by the chief guest and the Principal followed by DAV anthem.The principal extended the welcome address and highlighted the basic needs of children and the role of a parent.She also advised the parents not to give phone to their child rather indulging them in some useful games. 
The show started with the welcoming speech by Mrs. Ritu Singh followed by chanting of Gayatri mantra and included many other mesmerizing performances by the little children that included mool mantar, dance the song Papa Mere Papa,animal dance ,Kabir and Rahim,dohas ,fruit dance and many more . Mrs. Meenakshi Bansal and Mrs. Monica Chhabra made the parents aware about the importance of nutritious food and good manners .
The motivational certificates and medals were distributed to the students according to different categories .In between refreshment was served to the parents. A small act on the use of whatsapp was presented by a student showcasing that the parents should give time to their children instead of getting busy on social networking sites. 
The chief guest encouraged the parents to maintain a healthy bond with their children and assured them of a memorable association with school.In the end feedback from the parents was also taken. 
In the end Principal honoured the special guests and thanked them and the parents for sparing their precious time and be the part of the event. She also appreciated the efforts of the teachers for making the programme a success.
