DAV Nabha  celebrated Teachers’ Day and bidding adieu to Mrs. Rohini

‘It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge’.
DAV Centenary Public School Nabha celebrated Teachers’ Day in the school premises on 5th September 2018.This day was celebrated in a different way .The students of XII welcomed the worthy Principal Miss Meena Mehta. First of all, A heartfelt tribute was 
paid to Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan in whose memory teachers’ day is celebrated on 5th of September every year.To begin with havana was performed in the school to see the Grace and blessings of goddess Saraswati. After havana, the Principal and Eco club members along with the students planted a sapling in the central lawn of the school as principal has a strong conviction to celebrate all festivities with nature. The school music choir dedicated beautiful songs. Students expressed their gratitude to the teachers in the form of speeches. This whole function was organised by the students of Class XI and XII students organised games for the teachers which include Lemon and spoon race, balloon balancing and musical chairs.In the first game, Mr Amrinder Maan was the winner and in second game Mr Ranjeet Singh and Mr Ajit Singh were the winners. In the third game,there were two winners our beloved Principal Miss Meena Mehta and Ms Manju Verma. Everyone enjoyed a lot. Volunteers, from XI and XII maintained the discipline in the school. Winners of the games were presented gifts. All the teachers of the school were honoured with the plant saplings by the Principal and also by Avni Eco club of the school. 
In the junior wing, a special morning assembly was conducted in which students paid homage to their teachers through poems and speeches. After the school there was special celebration for the teachers. We also gave wishwell party with mixed feelings to one of our efficient and vibrant teacher Mrs. Rohini. Our music teacher, Mr. Kuldeep Rai enchanted us with a Sufi song. Teachers Sang melodious songs and everyone had lot of fun.
Our Principal Miss Meena Mehta appreciated the efforts of the teachers in playing a catalytic role in the development of every student. On the eve of teachers’ day, the Principal Miss Meena Mehta distributed tulsi plants to the staff. She motivated the teachers by telling a story to that we should be spiritually attached to the almighty in order to get the solution of everything. She also wished to Mrs. Rohini for her better future. The programme ended with the chanting of Shanti Path .
