DAV Cent. Public. School Nabha celebrated Raksha Bandhan

DAV Cent. Public. School Nabha celebrated Raksha Bandhan on 25^th August,2018 under the kind and vigilant guidance of our Principal Miss Meena Mehta.

In the morning assembly, students from different classes delivered speeches on the importance of the festival. Class LKG students sang a poem on this occasion and class UKG students performed a beautiful dance on Rakshabandhan by depicting the importance of brother in sister's life. This festival is a symbol of love, trust,and respect  between a brother and a sister. Abhishek Bhatia presented his views on Raksha Bandhan in a humorous verse form. Two girls of class 9-A sang a beautiful song on this pious and strong relationship.  Students of class 9-C performed a play on this occasion which conveyed the message of value of bond of love between a brother and a sister. We should not forget our rituals. On this occasion, many students brought handmade rakhies and displayed them on the display board. All the teachers and students enjoyed and acclaimed their performance.

Students from class II to V have participated in Inter house Rakhi making competition. There was a tie in first position between two houses i.e. Swami Dayanand House and Bkashi Tek Chand House(House Master Ms.Rohini and Ms. Geeta) , second position got by Swami Sharaddhanand House and Mahatma Hans Raj House was on third position.

Avni Eco Club celebrated raksha bandhan with an idea of tying a bond with mother nature. Students tied rakhies and promised to adopt and help in nourishment of the plants In future. The Principal congratulated all the teachers and students on Rakhi festival and described the meaning of actual Raksha Bandhan and also told the students to remember this bond of love for the whole year and respect each other. She emphasized to stop using Chinese Rakhies on this occasion.
