DAV Nabha Organizes Dental Check up Camp

DAV Cent Public School, Nabha organizes a dental check up camp on August 14,2018 at 9.30 a.m. in senior wing of the school. It was organized under the kind and vigilant guidance of our school Principal Miss Meena Mehta. The school organizes health and fitness camps for students from time to time.

A team of four doctors  had come from Simply Health Plus (P) Ltd. Organization, Panchkula for the dental check up of the students. The  director of this  organization is Dr. Rohit Sahni. This is an NGO which covers almost 85 schools of Punjab and arranges medical camps for the health and fitness of students. Dr. Deepa Puuri, Dr.Ashu, Dr.Navneet and Dr.Seema thoroughly  examined the teeth of the students and ruled out their dental problems.  They advised them how to look after their teeth well. They emphasized on the need of oral hygiene . Around 585 students were examined by them. Side by side, Dr. Deepa Puuri  had an interactive session on physical fitness and life skills with the students. She told them that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. She advised them to take some solid and nutritious food with milk in the morning. She further discussed the importance of punctuality in one’s life.  She also added that one should follow the 4 Ps to be a successful person in life. They are Punctuality, Planning, Prioritize and Prepare. She also threw light on self determination which is very important  to achieve one’s goal in life. Students were very attentive  and responded to her  questions .

In the Junior wing,  the students from class I to V also attended a camp on health and hygiene. Dr. Deepa told the children about the good and bad touch. She also made the children aware about the importance of balanced diet.

 Principal Miss Meena Mehta concluded the session by addressing the students.  She suggested the students to follow these life skills in their routine to grow in life.   She  also took the feedback from the students about the session. Students expressed their views what they have learnt. She thanked the team of doctors for creating awareness   on oral hygiene among students.
