Independence Day and Teej festival

The festival of Teej and festival of Independence was celebrated under the able guidance of our worthy Principal Miss Meena Mehta in DAV School, Nabha with great fervour and joy on 13 August 2018. 
The students from classes Nursery to 5th participated in the programme .They presented programmes with full patriotic fervour and zeal and created an atmosphere of national pride .Tiny Tots of the pre primary classes held a musical and dance performance of patriotic songs. They dressed in vibrant hues spread happiness all around. 
The kids danced merrily to the tunes of the traditional Teej songs and enjoyed swings which were decorated with flowers. It was a day full of fun and frolic for the children. The traditional colourful costumes of the students added to the charm and mood of celebrations.
In the end Principal mam told the students about the supreme sacrifices of the great martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of freedom. She also emphasized to boycott the Chinese goods. She encouraged the students by saying that we should engross ourselves with Punjabi culture and preserve our rich cultural heritage.
