DAV Centenary Public School,Nabha celebrated World Asthma Day

DAV Centenary Public School,Nabha celebrated World Asthma Day in the junior wing on 7 May 2019 under the guidance of our worthy Principal Dr Meena Mehta to increase the awareness among the students and the teachers about the precautions and preventions of the asthma.The WHO states that a total of 235 million people are suffering from asthma. Asthma is a condition which causes breathlessness, wheezing, coughing and chest tightness.

In the morning assembly Dr. Raman educated the students about the meaning of the term asthma and told them some of the precautionary measures that we can take in order to prevent us from this dreadful disease.As a health condition, asthma cannot be cured but can be controlled by bringing in a few lifestyle changes.After that play was enacted by the students of class 5th. Speeches were delivered on the significance of this day. 

In the end, the Principal of the school guided the students to avoid junk food and eat nutritious food.
