DAV NABHA ORGANISES BLOOD DONATION CAMP

DAV Centenary Public Senior Secondary School, Nabha organised its First Blood Donation Camp in the memory of Late Master JagdeepSingh on December 19, 2018. This camp was organised under the aegis of Arya Yuva Samaj, DAV CMC ,New Delhi. The School Chairman Shri H.R.GandharJi,Regional Officer Shri Vijay Kumar ji, Manager of the school, Shri Ramesh Lal have graced the occasion.

Blood Donation is an important and foremost sense of duty of every human being which saves the life of many human beings who need it in urgent situation.

The Principal Miss Meena Mehta welcomed dignitaries, principals of various DAV schools of the zone, parents and donors.

The team of doctors arrived from Rajendra Hospital Patiala headed by Dr. Ramneek Kaur along with her team members Jaspreet Kaur, Satpal Singh and Dara Singh at 8:30 a.m. in the school campus. The process of blood donation started at 9 a.m. The family of Late Jagdeep Singh was welcomed by the Principal and the staff members. There was great enthusiasm among the donors. All the staff members and student volunteers assisted the team of doctors. Most of the donors were youth from the city and nearby villages. Shri H.R. Gandhar Ji expressed his heartfelt condolences by paying tribute to Master Jagdeep Singh and also appreciated the donors who have come forward for this noble cause. On this occasion,the newly built School Ramp was also inaugurated by the gracious hands of Shri H.R. Gandhar Ji and Shri Vijay Kumar Ji.

Shri H.R.Gandhar Ji addressed the donors by saying that the educated society should be quite aware about the benefits of this noble cause. They should know well that this is a social service to help the accidental victims as well as those who need blood due to some illness or injury. Blood donation is called the biggest charity in the world. It helps many because one drop of blood can save the life of many.

This Blood Donation Camp was a successful event as 300 units of blood was collected. Refreshment was provided to the donors. The blood donors were honoured by certificates as well as badges.

The event came to an end with the address of the Principal Miss Meena Mehta,who appreciated the efforts of the donors, students, parents as well as teachers and thanked and blessed everyone who had made this Blood Donation Camp a great success.
