DAV Centenary Public School,Nabha celebrated Green Day

Green Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in the Pre Primary Wing of DAV Centenary Public School,Nabha on 28th Nov 2018 under the guidance of our worthy Principal Miss Meena Mehta. The tiny tots came to school dressed in pretty green attire and looked eco-friendly. The garden were beautifully decorated in green theme and all the green objects from a child’s immediate surroundings were brought to the garden.
The students were taught the identification and recognition of green fruits, vegetables, leaves, and trees. Many activities and games pertaining to green color were organized for the kids. Children brought green snacks and eatables in their tiffins. The garden were beautifully decorated with flash cards, balloons & green objects. A few Nursery students came dressed up as live models of green objects ie Runikha as capsicum, Divyam as frog, Yashika as grapes Navnoor as parrot and Rudra as turtle , Bhargav as peas , Aviraj as a cabbage and recited related rhymes. The Principal and teachers Mrs Parveen and Mrs Ragini along with children enjoyed with children on a medodious song Chhoti si Asha ……… children also recited the famous rhyme Tota hum main tota hun……….. 
The Principal explained the tiny tots about the importance of green colour in our lives and how we can conserve the environment by planting more and more trees.She also congratulated the teachers for making this event a great success.
