Children's Day Celebrations

DAV Nabha (senior wing) organised Business Carnival on November 14,2018 on the happy occasion of children's day under the kind and vigilant guidance of the school Principal Miss Meena Mehta.

It was a business project,launched by  Class XII Commerce stream with full enthusiasm under the guidance of their class incharge Mr Amarinder Singh Mann.The name of their company was ‘Commercial Bites Pvt. Ltd’. The chief guest of the carnival was our honourable Principal Miss Meena Mehta. She inaugurated the carnival by cutting the ribbon and announced the opening of the business carnival.

The whole class XII Commerce was divided into four departments. These departments were financial, production,marketing and human resource management.Their dress code was white shirt and black pant . In this carnival, different food stalls were put up in the school playground. The food items in these stalls were bakery items and snacks like golgappe, tikki,  etc.There were also various exciting and amazing games which attracted the attention of all students and teachers.These games were tic tac toe, Ludo King,dart etc.

Class wise students visited each and every food stall, played games and relished the  snacks. children enjoyed a lot.

Principal Miss Meena Mehta congratulated and blessed all the children on Children's Day. She appreciated and  Class XII Commerce students for their business project. She said that school carnival is a festive occasion .All children wait for it anxiously.

The carnival started with enjoyment and concluded with fun and entertainment.

Children's Day was also celebrated in DAV Centenary Public School Nabha (Junior wing) under the guidance of our worthy Principal Miss Meena Mehta  to pay tribute to the legendary freedom fighter and our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru popularly known as Chacha Nehru.

To pay homage to our loving Chacha Nehru special Assembly was conducted by the teachers as well as the students.The Pre-Primary children arrived at school, dressed in colourful clothes and were full of excitement . Teachers sang songs for the children.Play enactment and  dance performance by the students were there of class 2^nd and 1^st  respectively.The excitement continued with a plethora of fun games specially organized for the tiny tots such as  pyramid of glass ,balloon race ,musical chair ,three legged race, tug of war etc.
 Food Fiesta was organised by the students of class 3rd to 5th. to create awareness about  healthy homemade food.Food outlets with a variety of mouth watering homemade delicious dishes tempted and attracted  and everyone liked it .
The Principal lauded the efforts of the students and the teachers for their active participation and commendable presentation for making the event a success. She also told the students about the ill effects of smart phones and advised them not to use them. Pledge for not using the mobile phones was also taken in assembly  by all students.
